Son of Abraham and Mary (Allman) Golladay
 

At the start of the Civil War, Bronson lived in Ashland, Iowa. He was born in Ohio and was 18 years old when he enlisted on 04 March 1862. He mustered into U.S. service on 05 April 1862.

Bronson was discharged at Vicksburg, Mississippi on 10 June 1863.

He married Sarah Havner after the was over in late 1865.

On 04 May 1876, he filed a for an Invalid Pension and was living in Missouri. He died on 16 December 1900.
