Killed at the Battle of Nashville, December 1864

 

Jeremiah (Jerry) was born in Davidson County, Tennessee. He was 21 years old when he enlisted on 30 October 1863 at Clarksville, Tennessee. His height was listed as 5' 7".

From May until October in 1864, Jerry was listed as sick at a hospital in Nashville, but then he returned to duty. On 16 December 1864, Jerry was killed in action near Nashville.

Jerry's widow Mary in Tennessee filed a  U.S. military pension application in 1898 and his mother Jane Bridges had previously filed a pension application in 1879 based on Jerry's Civil War service as shown in the summary record below.
