This intent of this site is show the history and impact of the Civil War on the Golladay/Golliday family. While this site is mostly focused on the 1861-1865 war period, an examination of the years just before and after the war will be included to help provide and understanding of the family during this era.

This site was first developed in July, 2004. Much work remains to be done. Since my travels have been mostly in the South, my research into the Golladay families in the Midwest has been limited. Over time, I hope all available Civil War information about the family will be reflected in this site. This will include the husbands and children of Golladay women at the time of the Civil War.
